In Response

Posted on May 4th, 2015

Joy was found when finally I stood upon truth
you see or do not hear frequently
from organized social club scenes
on every corner of many streets
where apparently fear will hide behind a screen of love,
wave you in and recede back again
pulling you down within it’s clutches
controlled then bound face forced down
you breath mud and ground up soot fills your lungs
until finally a paid friendly hand
of knowledge and learning reaches out,
helps you stand and find your self
that disappeared through the lies yelled
and forced into your ears year after year.
I took a breath, found the truth,
stood up and cursed the words that had cut me in two.
Said “no more” and built a healthy wall
she can not climb or scale again,
false prophets hide behind the wind
but I will not be fooled
and now true joy from deep within this heart
that was molded and formed
forty times three hundred sixty five plus two hundred seventy days
now wakes each morning and finds a  real smile,
a real wink, a deep look at everything has color again!
I do not hide behind but fly higher than high
because of The wind.
