Sapples and Flannas

Posted on June 24th, 2015

I am a Sapple I like the apples. Those dumb Flannas, who like bananas,
are so stupid don’t they know apples are the way to go.
If they want to be cool like me
then they need to destroy the bananas and burn the seeds.

I am a Flanna I like bananas. Those dumb Sapples, who like the apples,
are so stupid don’t they know bananas are the way to go.
If they want to be cool like me
then they need to destroy the apples and burn the seeds.

We are the Sapples we hate the Flannas. We are gonna burn your bananas.
Bananas are yuck they make us up chuck. We are gonna beat you up.
If they want to be cool like me
then they need to destroy the bananas and burn the seeds.

We are the Flannas we hate the Sapples. We are gonna squash your apples.
Apples make us frown you look like a clown. We are gonna take you down.
If they want to be cool like me
then they need to destroy the apples and burn the seeds.

Boom crash boom bang war has begun. Smack crack boom the apples of doom.
Crack shank smack kill them fast, doom doom death at last.

1992

This poem was originally the lyrics for a song written with two friends back in high school. We were in a trio called No-Etic. Considering the fact that here in 2015 we are still dealing with the same stupid, idiotic racism and a variety of other “isms” we were dealing with back in 1993, I thought this was an appropriate poem to pull out of the ancient HughesFuse archives. Lastly, the lyrics have been slightly altered so I did not have to include a “Parental Advisory” warning. 😉
