Pushing Back

Posted on August 5th, 2015

Pushing back into past experiences, examining every nook and crannny, looking for lost parts that had to hide so I could survive through dark times when sustenance was so hard to find. An empty road stole life from me, swallowing my only brother whole. Another can never stand upon that stage like he did. Water can not flow upstream to cut the paths he cut as we road on top of rivers laughing, smiling and fighting like brothers do….I am feeling all of this within the great pain of loss and nothingness I find when picking up a phone that can never reach him until I pass the same way he went.
